I have a really great friend named Kiri who discovered a fantastic teaching abroad program called Internation Language Programs. You can find their website here if you're interested in checking it out. It has much information you can absorb! Anyway, Kiri went to Russia a few years ago to teach english to children through their program and later went to China, and then my other friend Courtney also did the same but at a different time. They both loved it and had many a story to tell. So just last September I made my final decision that I am going to do this! I chose Lithuania out of Russia, Ukraine, Thailand, China, Lithuania and Mexico. It sounded most interesting to me! So I was accepted and now I just waiting to depart! Honestly, every stinking day I think about it and how crazy it will be, and how i wish it was tomorrow. I still have 3 1/2 more months and it is far. Too. LONG. I am ready to go tomorrow. I already have packing lists made and teaching supply lists and of course, and I have already made this blog months in advance. You can say I'm just a bit over-prepared ;) But better over than under, right?
So if you're interested at all in what I am doing over there, please feel free to check in whenever you'd like! Hopefully, I'll be cool and update this blog daily. If not daily, then at least a few times a week. I want to share everything I can about the experiences I will have there!
One more thing. If one of my thank you cards brought you to this blog, then let me just take one more moment to thank you again for your support and donations toward this trip. I honestly am blown away by all of the help I've gotten from people I know very well and from some that I barely know at all. You really are a great blessing in my life and I will be forever thankful to you for helping me to do this. It's going to strengthen me in so many ways, I know it. It will probably be the coolest thing I'll ever do in my life :) So once again, thank you.
Sudie! <-- (that's goodbye in Lithuanian.. AH!!)
